Bellaplex Reviews – Why Its Better Than Botox
Women have been battling the signs of aging since time immemorial and now even the men are trying to look younger longer. As science and medicine have advanced, we live longer than in any point in history. Everyone wants to look as good as they feel as they get older so we try various lotions, potions and treatments to stave off and even reverse the signs of aging.
One treatment that is relatively new is Bellaplex, a face cream the manufacturer calls “the fountain of youth in a bottle” and an “age-defying moisturizer”. We’re going to take a closer look and see if Bellaplex lives up to these lofty claims.
Bellaplex Ingredients
There are a number of ingredients used by face cream manufacturers today that have been proven to have anti-aging effects such as tightening pores, firming skin tone and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Most anti-aging creams incorporate one or two into their formulas. Bellaplex uses four separate active ingredients specifically formulated to attack the signs of aging at the source.
Matrixyl 3000 – This is probably the most important ingredient found in Bellaplex. In the clinical trials done with Matrixyl 3000, the results were astounding, including a 33% decrease in wrinkle density. It works by penetrating deep into the skins inner layers and stimulating collagen production. As we age, the skin naturally slows collagen production so just by improving this, we can have younger looking skin for years further than nature allows.
Argireline – This substance works on an even deeper level than Matrixyl 3000. It relaxes the tiny facial muscles and inhibits some of the processes that cause wrinkles in the first place. The natural combination of several amino acids helps to reduce the appearance of existing fine lines and wrinkles, while preventing new wrinkles from forming.
Hyaluronic Acid – This substance has long been a staple of facial products for the fact that it is one of the most effective moisturizing agents known to man. Hyaluronic acid retains moisture in the skin, helping it to stay hydrated, smooth and soft. It is produced naturally by the body but as with collagen, production slows down as we age. Dryer skin is less elastic and will wrinkle easier. By keeping the skin of the face hydrated properly, it not only prevents new wrinkles but can smooth the appearance of any that already exist.
Collagen – Bellaplex is formulated with “fresh, real collagen”, as the manufacturer’s website says. Actual collagen molecules are included. This is the more controversial ingredient in this product. On the one hand, it would seem quite logical and reasonable to assume that collagen will help, since much of the signs of aging are caused by lack of collagen. On the other hand, there is no scientific basis to conclude that using collagen topically will have any effect at all because the molecules are too large to actually penetrate the outer layer of your skin.
Bellaplex Reviews – How It Compares to Botox
Bellaplex facial cream is applied topically, with the active ingredients formulated to penetrate deeply into the skin on their own. Botox is injected by needle into the muscles below areas with wrinkles and creases.
Bellaplex has ingredients that are naturally produced by the body and are proven safe. Botox is actually a neurotoxic protein derived from the same bacteria that causes botulism.
Bellaplex has no side effects for most people, with the rare case of someone being allergic or sensitive to one of the ingredients. In those rare cases, a rash can develop and will disappear within a few days of stopping use. Botox has several side effects that are much more common, including bruising, headache, respiratory infections, nausea and drooping of the upper eyelid.
Bellaplex costs $70 for a one month supply, making your costs over a year approximately $840. Botox must be performed by a doctor and will cost an average of $405 per treatment with retreatments recommended approximately every 3 months, making the average cost $1620 per year. That’s almost double the costs of Bellaplex, however, it’s actually even more than that.
One treatment with Botox will only affect one specific area, such as creases around the mouth. If you also want to have around your eyes or your forehead done, those are separate treatments with increased costs. Bellaplex treats the entire face every time you use it. In order to treat even the three main problem areas of mouth, eyes and forehead, you would be looking at costs averaging almost $5000 annually.
Is Bellaplex the “Fountain of Youth in a Bottle”?
While we wouldn’t go that far, we’d have to conclude that anyone would be much better served to try Bellaplex for a year over Botox. The majority of Bellaplex users see a substantial difference in their skin by the end of two months use, and some even see a change as soon as a few days. The costs are much less with Bellaplex and the dangers of side effects are almost nil.
